Siddha Yogi Sri Siva Shankar Baba

Siddha Yogi Sri Siva Shankar Baba, fondly known as Baba, was born on January 28, 1949. He underwent a death experience on January 26, 1984 through the grace of Sri Raghavendra Swami, and this marked the start of His spiritual advancement. Popularly called “God Uncle” by His devotees, Baba preaches and practices love. He is directly accessible to everyone and there are no barriers between the seeker and Him. His informal, simple style of working and living (He does not don the robes of a sanyasi) makes it easy for the seeker to reach out to Him.

Baba has established multiple institutions — Samratchana, Vengaleri Rural Upliftment Center, SushilHari International Residential School, Praveena Hospital, and many more — among which Samratchana, and SushilHari International Residential School, are located within the premises of “Sree Ramarajya” in Kelambakkam (Chennai), India.

Truly Secular

The truly secular temples do not discriminate religion / caste / creed / sex / nationality. Everybody is welcome to worship and offer their prayers to the Lord. Equality is practiced at an even higher level that “no separate pooja or archana is performed for any individual”. This could very well be the only temple in India where women chant the Vedas.

No Donation or Fee

What makes the temples most unique is that “no donation or fee of any kind is accepted”. Whether it is carrying the Palanquin, drawing the Silver Chariot, or participating in yagams and pooja, everything is offered absolutely free of cost. In addition, devotees can make use of the temple facilities for marriages and / or other family functions without any fee.
